Genevieve McGuckin is an Australian musician, songwriter, film producer and graphic designer who was born in Brisbane. In 1986 she was a founder of These Immortal Souls on keyboards and has collaborated with fellow founder, and sometime domestic partner, Rowland S. Howard, and with his earlier band, the Birthday Party, on their album, Prayers on Fire (April 1981).

Rowland Stuart Howard (24 octobre 1959 – 30 décembre 2009) est un auteur-compositeur, interprète, guitariste australien, reconnu pour son audio feedback sur guitare électrique dans le groupe post-punk The Birthday Party (avec Nick Cave au chant) et ses collaborations avec Lydia Lunch et Nikki Sudden.

En 1976, Howard forme son groupe Young Charlatans et écrit la chanson Shivers. Il quitte ensuite son groupe pour rejoindre The Boys Next Door avec Nick Cave et Mick Harvey.
